In 2005, the international oil price rose rapidly and remained at a high level for a long time. The GT13E2 unit (capacity of 240MW) of Shenzhen Meishi Power Plant was forced to implement the gas conversion project to build LNG Gas Station because of the high oil fuel price. NTPS took over the installation and commissioning of the LNG Gas Station.  The LNG Gas Station includes the construction of eight 150m3 LNG tanks for storing the LNG, from the Xinjiang Guanghui natural gas  liquefaction plant more than 4000 kilometers away. The LNG is increased to 40bar in the station, gasified with water-bath gasifier and sent to gas turbine through the pressure regulator. The LNG system in the power plant is highly integrated with transportation, storage and use to became the Chinese first model case.
